This is my last letter as President of the IMBA Board of Directors and I want to start with a big Thank You to all of you for allowing me the opportunity to lead this great organization for the last year. Over the last 12 months we faced and are in process of overcoming a worldwide pandemic. Through these trying times when we could not get together in person we still managed to accomplish some pretty amazing things as an organization.
We had record production, while largely working remotely or under altered work conditions.
The IMBA hosted two spectacular Future Leaders classes remotely, with participants from multiple states and backgrounds.
We continued to support our local charities at the Chapter level.
We lobbied and managed to get the “Witness Requirement” repealed locally, while also participating in the National Advocacy Day at the Federal level to represent our industry’s interests.
We continued to offer educational webinars on multiple topics.
While we did not host a single in-person meeting, we managed to have a great year and learned to get through by any means necessary. We did all of this and are coming out of this pandemic even stronger than we went into it.
Again, I thank you for your confidence and support over the last 12 months and I welcome Lynne Tamanini as the new President of the Board. I’ve gotten to know Lynne well over the last few years and am confident that she will lead this organization back to a more normal and brighter year as president.
