Chapter Meetings

GIMBA holds educational and networking meetings throughout the year to provide members with opportunities to meet, learn, and share experiences with peers who have common goals in real estate finance. Most meetings include a strong educational component addressing topics such as regulatory changes, legislative updates, and economic trends affecting the mortgage industry. GIMBA also hosts events focused on fun and networking, including the annual Toys-for-Tots drive in December, the Trivia Night in February, and other seasonal gatherings designed to bring members together while supporting community initiatives.

Geographical Area Served

GIMBA serves all counties within the Indianapolis MSA as well as Lafayette, providing broad engagement and support across the region. In addition to hosting events in Indianapolis, the chapter also holds meetings in surrounding counties to promote broader outreach and accessibility for members.

Chapter History

In July 1989, GIMBA merged with the state association to create a united voice promoting Indiana housing through legislative efforts and programs directly impacting mortgage banking and the real estate finance industry.

Community Service and Special Projects

GIMBA continues to make a significant impact in the community through both volunteerism and fundraising. In 2024 and 2025, the chapter collectively raised over $5,000 for Coburn Place while also lending volunteer hours to support its mission. The 2025 Habitat for Humanity build raised $1,100, and GIMBA has proudly supported the Toys-for-Tots drive for several years, ensuring children in need receive holiday gifts. Funds for these efforts are raised through a combination of educational events, networking gatherings, and special fundraising activities.
